Lil Bee's Boutique Design Team 2012 Call!!!

Lil Bee's Boutique is looking for new Design Team Members!!! We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated designers and paper crafters to serve a six-month term beginning January 1, 2012.

Specific requirements are provided upon invitation to the team. However we would like to mention that regular creation of projects and online participation are requirements for this team, and compensation is provided through a generous amount of product.Design Team Members also receive a 20% discount in our store.

Here is how to apply:

1. Name, Address, Phone Number

2. Submit three layouts/cards/altered items total

3. Tell us why you think you would be a good addition to the Lil Bee's Boutique Creative Design team.

4. Provide links to blogs and galleries, and any resume you may have.

5. List of all current DT commitments.

All submissions must be received by December 31, 2011 and we will have an official public announcement by January 1st 2012!!

*Sorry at this time, we cannot accept international creative team entries, only UAE, India and Pakistan entries accepted.

The cage is Kaiser ...... It was soaked  in water for 15 minutes, and then dried in a curve to give the 3d effect.  It was then Distressed with Ranger Vintage Photo Distress powder.....

"Get Chippy" Challenge with Lil Bee's Boutique!

Hello Crafters,

The Paper Craft industry is overflowing with Chipboard products inspired from cameos to gears. They can be distressed,painted, misted, inked, crackled, embossed, covered with paper,stamped on and oh so much more!

Are you guys ready for an exciting challenge??

So I challenge you to get those chipboard out of your Craft Stash and create a project using them in a creative way. Lil Bee recommends Chipboard from Maya Road and Dusty Attic.

 Let me share with you two sample layouts that I hope will inspire you.

Long Stem flower by Dusty Attic, Fence by Maya Road.

Chipboard Alphas, Wood bingo Motifs by Maya Road.

Here are the guidelines:
1. Create a paper crafting project (card, layout, off-the-page item) using chipboard products.
2. Email your creation to us at dml.dubai@gmail.com. Then leave a comment on Lil Bee's Facebook page.

Deadline for submission is 30th June 2011.
3. You may enter as many times as you like, but you're asked to provide a newly designed project.

4. We will choose one winner randomly from the list of players on 3rd July 2011, who will receive a 150dhs Shopping spree at Lil Bee's Boutique.

5. Above all, have fun - and be inspired!

A Creative card Tutorial with Noor Nahdi!

So let's enjoy a sneak into Lil Bee's May Kit with Noor's "U R SEW Lovely" Card tutorial!



Supplies: Lil Bee's May Kit, Dear Lizzy Warble Stamps, embellishments

Start by creating holes around the card using a sewing needle pressed on a sponge

After making equal-spaced holes, insert twine using the needle too

Cut a circle from transparent sheet and stamp dresses...

Add sentiment to the labels

Just plan the positioning...

And here's the card for somebody sew lovely :)

Let's get Crafty with Sabrina Sulaiman!

Hello Crafters,

I hope you all are getting crafty with the Spring Break and all new releases in the Paper Craft Industry. Even if you didn't get the time, then enjoy some crafty inspiration from Sabrina!

 

Supplies needed:

•  Lil Bee's March Exclusive kit 
• Mist( Tattered Angels is used in this tutorial)
• Spring Market patterned paper from Lil Bee's March Main kit

Step 1: 

Place the doilies anywhere you prefer on the Prima Canvas paper and mist the background with Tattered Angels Glimmer mist.(I used Coral Reef)

It will then look like this:

Step 2: 

Now cut the Spring Market Webster page according to the shape as in picture below and in the edges using Dye Ink.

I also inked the edges of Prima journaling notepads:

Step 3: 

Now ink the Maya Road bird cage and bird chipboard with Ranger Distress inks:

Step 4: 


Now place the Doilies on the photos and draw the outline on the desired area. And the cut the photos at the outine.

Step 5: 

Now place the misted Doilies on the misted canvas page aligning as you like. Then place the photos on these doilies.

Now arrange the embellishment as below or as you would like.

So here's my final page.
